Internal concrete floors
with quiet character.
A concrete floor can tie a home together in one continuous surface. Its look depends on decisions made well before the finishing stage, so we like to be involved early.
Start a conversationAn internal floor is lived on every day and seen in every light.
Concrete floors naturally vary in tone and texture. That variation is much of their appeal, and it helps to understand it before choosing a finish. Sheen, aggregate exposure, sealing and colour all change how a floor looks and how it feels underfoot.
Timing is important. Floors interact with framing, plumbing, underfloor heating, joinery and other trades. We talk through where the project is at and how the floor work fits into the wider build or renovation.
We work with homeowners across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter and Central Coast.

What to
think about.
- 01New slab or existing
- Finishing options differ between a new pour and an existing slab, and an existing slab needs inspecting first.
- 02Finish and sheen
- Matte through to higher-sheen finishes each have different upkeep and visual effects.
- 03Natural variation
- Concrete is not uniform. Expect subtle shifts in tone, aggregate and texture.
- 04Timing with other trades
- Floor work is sequenced around walls, services and joinery to protect the finish.
- 05Care and upkeep
- Sealers and finishes have their own cleaning and maintenance needs, which we explain up front.
From first call
to handover.
Every site is different, so steps can shift. This is the usual shape of the work. Timing depends on the scope, the site and the weather.

Worth
asking.
Have a question that is not here? Ask it in your enquiry.
Can you finish my existing slab?
Sometimes. It depends on the slab condition, previous coverings and any adhesives or repairs. We need to see it before advising.
Will the floor look exactly like a photo?
No two floors are identical. Natural variation is part of the material, and we discuss that openly before work begins.
Is a concrete floor cold?
Concrete takes on the temperature of the room. Rugs, sunlight and heating can all change how it feels. Underfloor heating is something to plan with your builder early.
When should I contact you in a build?
As early as possible. Floor decisions can affect slab preparation and the order of other trades.
